America Recycles Day 2019

America Recycles Day 2019

Every year on November 15, America Recycles Day is celebrated throughout the nation. America Recycles Day started in 1997 by the National Recycling Coalition to encourage Americans to commit to recycling.

This year you can participate in America Recycles Day by signing up for the #BeRecycled pledge and using the hashtag on social media to tell your friends and family how you plan to incorporate recycling into your life. Below are some ways that you can increase your recycling efforts on a day-to-day basis.

Have our recycling guide in a visible place for you and your family.

Our recycling guide is a great tool to use when you have a question on whether something is recyclable or not. Print out as many copies of it to put around your home or office.

Have a recycling bin in every room.

When a recycling bin is easily accessible to everyone no matter where they are, there is a higher chance that they will recycle.

Buy recycled products.

When you buy products that are made from recyclable material, you are helping continue the process of recycling.

Contact us if you have any questions.

We are always happy to help with any recycling questions that come up. You can reach us through the contact portal on the website, calling 773.685.8811 or through any of our social media platforms.

Spread your knowledge with others.

When you learn something about recycling, it is important to share your knowledge with your loved ones so that they can also recycle properly. Once more people learn how to recycle properly, they will do it more often.

By integrating these few tips into your life, recycling can be something that you do every day. Taking small steps towards sustainability really makes a difference in preserving the environment, which is the goal of America Recycles Day.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for our America Recycles Today campaign to learn some recycling tips that you can implement in your household.
