Evanston & LRS
In a contract that began November 1, 2022, LRS serves as the City of Evanston’s commercial waste and recycling hauler. Along with being the City’s commercial hauler, LRS also serves as the waste hauler for all City of Evanston condominiums.
LRS has a geographical familiarity along with an understanding of the types of service that the City, its residents, and its commercial customers expect in terms of service standards. Our goal is to exceed those expectations and provide nothing less than exceptional services and high-quality solutions.

With nearly 75,000 residents and businesses calling Evanston home and over 23,000 students attending Northwestern University, LRS plays a critical role in keeping this beautiful town green and clean. Evanston businesses have a wide range of service options to choose from including 65/95-gallon carts, 1 through 10-yard commercial containers, and compactor services. Also available for heavier material, construction work and clean-out work are roll-off boxes, which range in size from 10-yard to 30-yard boxes.
Recycling service options closely mirror those offered for waste services. Recycling carts will be available in the 95-gallon size, and commercial containers are available in 1 through 10-yard containers. Of course, should the need present itself, roll-off boxes are also available for recycling projects (wood, masonry, etc.). Evanston businesses are also eligible to take advantage of a 95-gallon cart or a 1yd commercial container serviced weekly at no additional cost to complement their waste services.
